Mr. Vieaux will coach three non-CIM guitar students on site at CIM and two additional students at out-of-state institutions via CIM's innovative Distance Learning audio/video broadband Internet interconnect. Guitar students who wish to perform at CIM in the Jason Vieaux master class, please submit name, street address, phone number, email address and an audition recording (CD or cassette) containing two contrasting works to: Jason Vieaux, Head of Guitar Department, CIM, 11021 East Boulevard, Cleveland, OH 44106-1776. CIM announces a spectacular new series designed to showcase the intimate, acoustical elegance of Mixon Hall. Sponsored by Donley's, Inc., the Mixon Hall Masters Series will give audiences the opportunity to listen to performances of some of the world's great talents while watching the seasons unfold through a 43-foot wall of glass behind the stage, revealing a private garden. This unique 235-seat hall provides the perfect setting for acclaimed guest artists; a recital space second to none. Each artist's visit includes a recital in Mixon Hall, as well as master classes featuring CIM students that will be open to the public. CIM announces a spectacular new series designed to showcase the intimate, acoustical elegance of Mixon Hall. Sponsored by Donley's, Inc., the Mixon Hall Masters Series will give audiences the opportunity to listen to performances of some of the world's great talents while watching the seasons unfold through a 43-foot wall of glass behind the stage, revealing a private garden. This unique 235-seat hall provides the perfect setting for acclaimed guest artists; a recital space second to none. Each artist's visit includes a recital in Mixon Hall, as well as master classes featuring CIM students that will be open to the public. Mezzo-soprano Frederika von Stade, recognized as one of the most beloved musical figures of our time, closes out the 2008-2009 series.
