Why Corporations Support CIM

Economic Impact
CIM is a sound investment and is good for the economics of our region! In attracting gifted students, master educators, and world-class performers from around the world, CIM has a remarkable impact in the music world and an ongoing sustainable economic impact in the State of Ohio. Indeed, a study by the independent firm Impact Economics found that CIM's economic impact in Ohio is over $90 million per year!

Reputation
Corporations that support CIM align themselves with a winner: CIM ranks highly among the nation's eight independent music conservatories and enjoys a distinguished and ever-growing international reputation. CIM students are frequent winners of national and international competitions, and many go on to major solo careers or hold positions in major orchestras and ensembles, including the world-renowned Cleveland Orchestra. CIM's faculty are likewise world-class (over half of the members of The Cleveland Orchestra are either faculty or alumni of CIM, and many are both).

Marketing and Visibility
Corporations that support CIM benefit from exposure to widely diverse constituencies. Opportunities vary by level of giving and include such benefits as recognition in the CIM Concert Guide, with an annual distribution of over 80,000; profiling in Notes, CIM's quarterly newsletter, with distribution to over 12,000 households; and recognition as a corporate honoree at a CIM concert, including the chance to host a reception for employees and clients.

Community Involvement
CIM reaches out to the community and beyond in many ways. CIM students perform at retirement communities, hospitals, non-profit organizations, and schools throughout Greater Cleveland. CIM reaches over 11,000 schoolchildren annually through its nationally celebrated Distance Learning Program. CIM is also the only venue in the region to produce a full season of free, live classical music. Each year more than 47,000 music lovers gain access to classical music through CIM's programming.
