Interlibrary Loan Policy & ProceduresIn order to expand the amount of materials available to Cleveland Institute of Music faculty and students, the Robinson Music Library provides interlibrary loan services for items not available at either CIM or CWRU libraries. These services are available for all Institute faculty and for conservatory students. Preparatory students, alumni and special borrowers should contact their local public library. All Case personnel & students should request items from the Case Libraries. The Robinson Music Library and the Institute are currently absorbing all costs of interlibrary loan, so the service is free to Institute faculty and conservatory students. However, any charges resulting from overdue interlibrary loan materials will be the responsibility of the borrower. The loan period on these items is usually quite short, and renewals are generally not available. Audio/Visual materials are generally not available through Interlibrary Loan. The process for placing an Interlibrary Loan request is as follows:
Please allow two weeks for requests to be processed and materials to be shipped to CIM. If you need material sooner than two weeks from the request date, you may need to consider other options for acquiring the item. (i.e. Cleveland Public Library, Cuyahoga County Public Library, CIM Book Store) If you have any further questions about Interlibrary Loan, please contact James Hilton – Interlibrary Loan Coordinator at (216) 795-3114. |
